Todays Class-The Birch Trees

Another great class today--the students had a choice of both colour and canvas.
After a bit of thought we had 3 choose to do the large 14in x 36in and the other 3 do the normal 16in x 20 in.
Then it came to the colour-monochrome , sepia tones or the latest green shades.
For once no-one wanted to do the sepia, but Carol and her dad Tony both wanted to try the green and the rest the black and white.
Diane and her twin sister Lyn were painting for the first time, having both received gift vouchers from their family for Birthdays and Mothers Day,Tony was doing his third, Carol , Paul and Pattie their 2nd.
The time flew by as everyone got busy painting trees ,you could have cut the concentration with a knife at times as everyone loaded their brushes and painted away!
It was interesting to see how everyone tackled their painting-and good to see how quickly everyone gained their confidence and started making decisions for them selves.

Tony and Carol have both been painting at home and Ive ordered them some frames for todays paintings as well as one for a painting Carol has painted at home for her in-laws-lovely to hear that they both have so much confidence so early and are putting what they have learnt in class to good use!
Patties painting is going to Stafford to her daughters house--when Stacey saw her mums last painting she asked how much of it I had done for her!

When Lyns husband came to collect them-he asked which shop they had been to! He couldnt belive they had painted them-we lined Pattie, Lyn and Diane up with their pics at the end and you coud have hung them as a triptych-
all in all a lovely day-and looking forward to seeing them all again!
