Todays Class-Serenity in Green and Brown!

We had a great time in class today--Rosie on the left and her mum in law Hilda on the far right had never painted before-Rosie chose to do her painting in the green and Hilda in the brown.
They both produced great pictures and really enjoyed themselves! No one used the prussian blue preferring the other colours instead.

Jack , Pauline and Chris received their trophys for long service!
And Julie and Sheila recieved their artist brooches as they have been 6 times.
The last 5 times were a couple of years ago,and I wasnt doing the artist brooches then!
Julie and Sheila had to leave early to go for a meal across the road at the Squirrel, so had their pics taken on their own!
We all had a great day and we are looking forward to seeing them all again.

Tomorrows Class

I have 8 people coming to class tomorrow.
The subject is called "Serenity In Green" However a few people have asked about painting it in a different colour so tonight I have quickly painted 2 other versions using van dyke brown and prussian blue so they can choose which one they prefer.
We 2 newbies who have never painted before, 4 of my recent students and 2 from a couple of years ago-so a real mixed bag!
One thing is for sure-we will have a laugh as well as creating some beautiful masterpieces!
Cant wait!

New Bathroom!

Ive had a busy couple of days doing a painting with a difference--on the back of my bathroom door!
Ive almost finished now , just got a bit of fiddling to do, then onto the big cupboard in there--I have made a start to day but my arms are dropping off now, so will carry on tomorrow.
The birch trees are one of my most popular class subjects and is copyrighted and logged with www.protectmywork.com

It looks much more impressive in real life than in the photo, and I'm very happy with it!

Puppy Sitting For Teddy!

ie

I had a busy day yesterday puppy sitting for my friends Jan and John.
Little Ted is only 4 months old, and he a bundle of energy. I thought I had puppy proofed the house but soon realised that I hadn't-he found all sorts of things to play with!
I ended up putting an old tray out of the parrot cage across the kitchen doorway to keep him confined to the kitchen/garage and patio areas!

He had 2 good walks in the morning and afternoon, had a little nap and he was back to exploring the patio and lugging all sorts back into his basket-he seems particularly partial to plastic flower pots!

He had a great time with my nephew Charlie, playing and chasing around. Poor Charlie nearly got licked to death!

Teddy did have a couple of little accidents - he went to the front door and asked to go out for a wee, but as I didn't have his lead on , by the time I fetched it -too late! He also had a little wee when my daughter Becki called-the excitement was too much for him -good job hes only little and does little wee's!
Hes a lovely little chap though, just look at that little face as hes in his basket trying to keep awake in case he misses something!
He didnt miss him mum and dad til 10 minutes before they arrived, by then he was completly knackered, he would have slept well all night!

"The Trees" SOLD

The Trees will be going to its new home later this week. Its always been one of Bills favorite paintings!
Its going to be hung on a dark wine red wall which will set it off a treat!

I must start work on a new one--Ive got a great idea based on this one but with some changes, Ive got some 3ft square canvas that will work for my idea.
I will post it on here when I'm finished.
FLU !
I thought I was over the flu but I have come to realise that I'm not as well as I thought I was. I feel great when I get up, but an hour after I'm starting to flag a bit. One good thing is Bill hasnt caught it--the flu jab must have worked on him!
I'm going to try and get one next year-never want this again , I know that much !
