Just Giving--many thanks to you all!
What a wonderful bunch of people I know ---thank you all for all your help in this- especially Lin, Sandi and Lin--as you are all aware-a group of us have created a beautiful painting called Boob-tiful which is currently for sale on Ebay (£170) at moment. It finishes tomorrow night at 10.45pm.
One of the ladies who helped to create the painting is known as DaisyBev on the forum--she has set up a'' just giving ''page so people can donate as much as they are able to the Breakthrough Breast cancer charity.
Even if you just donate just a £1 it will help the charity-there are over 260 members of Boob-tiful fan club on Facebook so we should be able to raise lots of money!
Even if you are not a member of facebook you can still donate-I have posted the link below.

Latest Painting
I have had a tiring but enjoyable day. Ive been working on a painting for the Ludlow Art Society exhibition which starts this Saturday.
This painting is done in acrylic and measures a massive 36in x 36in.
Its been built up in many layers and it will be varnished by Bill on Tuesday and Wednesday to protect it and bring out the colours properly.
As you can see I got absolutely covered in paint--I look like Ive got a massive attack of measles-good job it comes off easily!
Price is £300
The exhibition is being held at the Harley Centre, Ludlow Collage, Castle Square from Saturday Aug 21st until Monday the 31st.

No Market Today
With the weather forcast being for heavy rain and high winds we decided not to venture out of the house this morning to do the regular Wednesday market.
There is no point in risking the paintings getting damaged by rain-besides there will be no customers wandering round Ludlow on a day like today.
Just hope it clears up a bit before Saturday when we have Tenbury show.

Yummy!
Sometimes you just have to treat yourself to something scrummy for lunch!
Today we decided to have a lovely bacon and egg sandwich.
We get our eggs locally off the market---just £1.20 for half a dozen of these giant double yolked free range beauties! Bill fetched them early this morning and while he was down there called at the local bakers Prices for a crusty loaf.
Dont think we will be wanting much tea after this somehow!

So Lovely!
We popped into Tesco this evening to get a few odds and bobs, we were just unpacking the basket when we heard an excited voice--''Hiya you two--I cant thank you enough -he loved the painting--Ive never had so much fun--I cant believe I did it-it was sooooo brilliant thank you so much!!! "
Everyone was turning round to see what the excitment was--cant get better advertising than that can you!!?
Sally had attended her first class a few weeks ago and painted Stormy Skies for her Dad for Fathers Day--she had obviously loved it and had already booked to come again with her friend--we are looking forward to it!

Keith Norris-Atelier Acrylic Seminar

Well Keith Norris who came over from Australia with his delightful wife and daughter to spread the word about this fantastic new acrylic paint certainly won over the audience. He has helped to develop this new paint-he has a chemist background and also an artist one, so knows what we as artists all need from a paint.
He had us all in stitches with his antedotes about art and the people in the art world, at the same time as explaining how this brilliant new paint works.
The Atelier Interactive Acrylic paint is a new concept in the art world.
There had been nothing new in the art world for donkeys years until this breakthrough,
You can re activate this paint simply by spraying with water-something that wasnt possible before.
It has the same properties as oil paint, it remains workable for a long time enabling the artist to work wet on wet.
There are several mediums available to use with this brilliant new paint, something to help every kind of artist.
I will be able to supply the paint and mediums very shortly at a very good price.
I am waiting for the price list and colour charts from the company.
If you want to know more about the paint please take a look at www.CHROMAONLINE.COM
I have bought lots of new canvas and I cant wait to get started with this new paint.

The classes are very friendly, laid back and informative at the same time- great fun and a beautiful painting to take home as well!
Take a look at the guest book to see what some of the students have said about the classes as well!
I have kept my prices the same for the past 4 years--£35 which includes all materials used in class. We paint on a high quality box canvas which does not need framing-although if you wish to do so we supply a lovely frame to match your painting for just £12. Great Value!

Congratulations Trine.
I have to congratulate my good friend Trine who lives in Norway.
She is a fellow artist, who works in a totally different style to me. Here is a link to her site http://mtv65.blogspot.com/
She does a lot of Chinese style painting using traditional inks, paints and papers and she has really worked hard at her art. She is now selling her work all over the world and even has an e bay shop.
It would seem it has been worth it-last year she had an article written about her in a magazine-now a Norwegian newspaper has done an interview with her about her and her work! You can read all about it on her blog.
We met when she came over here last year and stayed with us for a week to paint. We had a lot of laughs and fun and we have been great friends ever since.
Well Done Sis xxxx

Latest Series--"Tree's"

This is my latest series of paintings. Called simply "Tree's"
Painted very simplisticly, and stylised-the tree's continue around the sides of the canvas.
The large canvas are 12in square and the smaller ones are 4in square.
There are any number of ways in which to display these pieces of art.
They are all painted in acrylic and varnished with 2 coats of high quality artists varnish.
The silver set sold less than 24 hours of being put on the http://www.affordablebritishart.co.uk/
website!!!!!
They were sent this morning to the new owner in Middlesex!
Got to be something of a record to sell so soon after being put online!
I have been busy logging all my latest work on to http://www.protectmywork.com/
as well as painting some more pictures in this series.
Will post the photos on here later.

Todays Class

We had such a lovely class today-really relaxed and laid back! As you can see the results are absolutely fantastic-what a shame they wont be dry enough to take to the exhibition on Tuesday!
Everyone was in favour of the advanced class in January, so we will be going ahead with that too.
Throughout the class we had people dropping of paintings to be framed and put into the exhibition.
We also had a couple who had ordered a full encaustic set for a Christmas pressie, they came to the class to collect it and were amazed at what the students were achieving, they will be coming in the new year to have a go !!
Everyone is looking forward to Wednesdays private viewing!
I have to say a big thank you to Sharleen and Denis(who came along today to see what went on in the class) they are coming down in a big van to transport all the paintings to the venue onTuesday-that will save us an enormous amount of work getting them all into a couple of cars!
Its getting very near now, Ive so much to do still--lists of paintings, prices etc. Everyone agrees that choosing titles for the paintings is the hardest thing of all-after putting a price on them that is!!!
Another thing we will possibly be doing is holding the classes at a new time-the reason being, the squirrel pub just over the road from the venue is opening next week and some of the students agree it would be great to do the classes and go over there for a meal with their partners and make a day of it! There was a suggestion that we all went to the pub first and then do the painting-we were in fits at Jan who showed us all what it would be like!!!!!
So we may be starting the classes next year from 2pm -6pm. I will have the information put on my website.

Mucking Fuddle 2

I have been working on the latest in the 'manic series' of abstract art today.
I am really pleased with ''Mucking Fuddled 2'' The vibrant colours really stand out from the black background.
This latest one is painted on a very deep edge box canvas, the sides have been left plain black for the contemporary feel.
Shades of blues, purples, greens, and yellows mingle and merge with each other, its hard to see where one starts and another stops.
It measures 28 in x 20 in but it could be hung vertically instead of horizontally if you prefer.
I have signed it on the side instead of the front so it can be hung as YOU prefer!!.
The price of this art work is £200 including P+P in UK. If you are outside Uk please get in touch for details.
It will be ready for posting after 15th Dec. I send all my work by special delivery, it is trackable , insured and next day delivery.
