Ali's Hen Party

Ali has been to  few painting classes with me, and asked if I would hold a painting session for her hen party---I was very happy to do so! She hired a nearby hall and arranged to have a cup cake decorating session before doing the paintings..We sat and watched enjoyed some of the lovely food and drink she had laid on! The ladies had great fun creating toppings for the cup-cakes...

they cut out flowers and birds and everyone was very creative with the things available!

some of the end results! Look too good to eat!

We had 14 to paint..and I chose the Mystical Moon subject as there were a couple of children doing it too...

getting each stage dry with the hairdryers...

my painting is on the right--

Ali--''The Hen''

the paintings soon developed and everyone was amazed at how quickly they became so different to each others...

looking good!

well done girls!

Lovely results--if you would like a ''Painting Party'' the details are on my website -price is just £15 per head -a minimum of 10 and maximum of 17 people from age 7 upwards..www.paintingmyway.co.uk

Onslow Park Steam Rally Sunday Aug 28th/Mon 29th

I cant believe its come round so quickly again---one of our favorite shows of the years--Onslow Park Steam Rally. Its the 50th anniversary and there will be over 100 steam engines there. There are also heavy horses there as well.I will have loads of paintings on display and will be demonstrating in acrylics, oils and encaustic wax.Members of the public will be able to have a go at the encaustic art as well...We have spent the day getting the caravan ready to take--after being in storage for ages it needed a good freshen up-so have been busy with the hoover,Mr Sheen and anti bacterial flash liquid. She looking and smelling much sweeter now---but we have decided to sell her after this show--seems silly to be paying storage for her and only using it once a year for Onslow Park.So will be taking lots of photos and getting her put on Pre-loved when we get home...

All the above were first time artists except for Trina whose 30th birthday party it was.As you can see the results were great..and everyone is keen to do it again. The cost is just £15 per person.

Getting Ready For The Party!!!

Things are all falling into place for my 50th birthday /10th wedding anniversary party that we are having in March!
We have been down to the rugby club this evening to see how we want the tables set out on the evening----Julie couldn't have been more helpful.
We had one of  our wedding receptions at the rugby club 10 years ago and we will be setting it out the same way as it worked well then!
I was lucky enough to get married on my 40th birthday which fell on a Wednesday and we had a lovely sit down meal for all the 48 close friends and family in the pub where me and Bill  had  originally met ---then we had a huge party at the rugby club the following Saturday for everyone --so it was like having 2 weddings really--with chance to recover in between!
We are having a pig roast to start and have got a disco and karaoke booked as well---so it will be a great night!
I'm really looking forward to it--I have a class during the day--as it was a bit of a last minute decision to have a party---but all we have to do is drop off all the helium balloons for the tables and also the banners late afternoon , then get ready to party!
We have got friend and family traveling from all over the country to join us--and I'm sure it will be a great evening for everyone!
