Gemma's 30th Birthday Painting Party

What fun we had at Clee Hill Village Hall on Tuesday! Gemma's mum and aunt had been to some of my workshops a while ago--and she wanted to do a painting party to celebrate her 30th birthday. It was decided that they would do Summer Day but wanted some daisies in there as well as some poppies....

Little one year old Ollie came along with his mummy--he was pretty good bless him--played with his toys and crawled around in and out of the tables quite happily! Below are all the paintings created during the workshop--hard to believe that some of these paintings have been done by people who have never had a brush in their hand before! The time just flew by--and it was amazing as usual to see just how different the paintings all turned out from each others. All as individuall as the students are-right from the word go--it was great fun, lots of laughs during the day---and some lovely food put on by Gemma and co!  If you would like a painting party of your own please contact me...Its great fun and wonderful results every time!

Sammy chose to do 2 paintings at the same time as she wanted one for her friends birthday--she did really well to get both done!

Sally has been to 7 workshops previous--though not for a few years--she has now booked up for 2 more after getting the 'bug' again....looking forward to it Sal xx

Judiths Birhday Painting Party

Judith has been to Painting My Way previously--and she decided that she would like a painting party for her birthday-and it was to be held at her home in Bridgnorth..They had prepared the room with plastic to protect the floor and got out tables ready-I had not realised that she had kept the day a secret from her friends that had been invited--they had just been told to arrive in comfy clothes! Everyone started to arrive and we did get a few odd looks when they saw the easels etc being set up--but I didn't click that it was a surprise! When everyone realised they were going to be painting we had the usual reaction--" But I cant paint" After reassuring everyone that they COULD paint as long as they followed my step by step instructions-we began...
We had great fun--and everyone loved watching how each other tackled each stage,

Ali's Hen Party

Ali has been to  few painting classes with me, and asked if I would hold a painting session for her hen party---I was very happy to do so! She hired a nearby hall and arranged to have a cup cake decorating session before doing the paintings..We sat and watched enjoyed some of the lovely food and drink she had laid on! The ladies had great fun creating toppings for the cup-cakes...

they cut out flowers and birds and everyone was very creative with the things available!

some of the end results! Look too good to eat!

We had 14 to paint..and I chose the Mystical Moon subject as there were a couple of children doing it too...

Jessica was lucky that she had  enough room at home to hold her party...we had everyone set up around 2 big tables...

The paintings soon took shape...

Jessica's Dad had a go as well...

they loved every stage of the painting....

We stopped  on the way home for a carvery at The Punch Bowl , and the snow kept coming down while we were in there....we had a bit of a scary journey home as the roads were solid ice beneath the snow....we were very glad to see Greenacres I can tell you!
