We had a lovely afternoon today -we were invited to Ludlows latest contemporary gallery for afternoon tea with the owners/artists Pauline and Chris.After a guided tour of the beautiful landscaped gardens we were shown through the great hall where the display of paintings began-there were some stunning works of art by the two artists.
As we moved on through the house the paintings lined the walls on the stairways and walls.We stopped on the second level in beautiful ,comfortable surroundings for some beautiful coffee and cakes and a chat with Pauline and Chris-very interesting too-we covered lots of subjects-from art to boot sales!
Afterwards we were shown the rest of the gallery on the 3 rd level-again some stunning pieces of art on display,the owners have made a lovely job of hanging the artwork. The time just flew by and in no time it was time to come home and do some more of the tedious stuff on the computer!
We had a lovely time with them-and cant wait til saturday when Pauline and Chris will be coming to class again to complete another painting to add to their extensive collection!
We saw lots of works that they have done at home on their own-one that stood out was the owl painting that Chris has done-though it didnt sound as if it was a relaxing one to do!
