We have an hours journey this evening to do a demo for Wellington WI. Will get car packed this morning so we are not rushing round before we go!
The demos always go down well with everyone-they find it amazing just how quickly the paintings happen-they see it all from start to finish!
Had a call this morning from Sue who was at the demo I did last week at Whitton-she has booked 2 places on the Forest Pool class for herself and her daughter as a birthday present.
I had a text from Justina who came for a private one to one a couple of weeks ago, she wants me to get a whole set of brushes, paints and mediums together for her when she comes back to Ludlow tomorrow.
Ive also got to get her booked in for another one to one!
She wanted to come next Tuesday but I'm already booked up to do a demo at Four Rivers In Ludlow, so we will have to sort out another date!
I'm on the craft market this Sunday for the first time this year-hope the weather is a bit warmer by then!
Its going to be a busy time by sound of it--we have the granddaughters Hollie and Lucie coming down on Saturday to stay the night as well while their mum and dad go to a wedding in town.
Haven't seen them for a while-bet they have grown a bit!
Ive got a commission to do for a lady who wants one of my Poppy paintings that I do in acrylic and wax-she likes the one on 4 canvas but wants the same thing on a 3ft canvas instead.
Ive ordered it and will make a start when it arrives-I love doing these paintings--lots of layers of paint built up over and over and then the touchy feely wax goes on before having 4 layers of varnish to protect it all.
Well I'm off to start getting paintings etc ready for tonight--

Brean Sands
It rained last night and was drizzling this morning as we sat eating our delicious full english breakfast, however by the time we had finished and been up to our room for the bits and pieces we wanted to take with us it had stopped and the sun was blazing!
First port of call was the Dark Arts Tattoo Studio to have a chat with Ade and get an appointment for 11.30am on Monday to have my bird of paradise tattoo redone and brightened up.
Then we went for a walk around the town, we know Weston quite well now its been a regular haunt of ours for some years.
It was so hot it was incredible-to think I could walk around in a sleeveless top at the end of October, and still be too hot.
Then out of the blue while we were having lunch at The Old Colonial ( pork steak stack with black pudding, cider and apple sauce and fresh veg!)the heavens opened and we had a storm-that stopped as suddenly as it started-much like April showers.
When I phoned home to check all the livestock was OK I was told by my friend that it had poured down all day there.
We drove on down the coast after to Brean Sands and just parked up and relaxed watching the world go by as the wind got up and we were to stuffed to move far!
I got some more photos of the scenery, don't know when I will find time to do all the paintings I want to do from the photos Ive taken this year!
We are staying in tonight-the fresh air has tired us both out-so we have got a lovely bottle of wine (or 2) in the cooler box in our room and we are going to settle back and watch X factor and have an early night!
Not sure where we are off tomorrow-lots of choices-a couple of boot sales on in the area so that will probably be first on the agenda-
We discovered yesterday when we arrived that Our host at the guest house is originaly from Ludlow and we know his Dad, so we had a lot of reminiscing this morning about things such as the Sticky Carpet lub from years ago!

Weston Super Mare
Well after a lovely time down south in Rye and surrounding areas we came across country to one of my favorite places Weston Super Mare--it was further than I thought-over 200 miles--we have covered a lot of miles this last week, Bill does all the driving when we are away giving me chance to take snap shots of the surrounding countryside and catch up on my reading!
I bought a book to read while away but we have been so busy Ive on read a few pages!
Caught up with a few magazines, but nowhere near all of them I bought with me!
We arrived later than we had planned due to stopping off for a lovely carvery lunch!
We found the guest house in Weston, quickly unpacked and went out to find somewhere to eat dinner.
Its surprising how many places are still open-and we found a lovely place that did T-bone steaks to die for!
Ive caught up with my facebook, emails and other bits and bobs-didnt have internet while in Rye-just in the club room and to be honest it was nice to get away from it!
The weather is supposed to be good here, got a few things planned-Im off to the Dark Arts Tattoo studio on Monday to have my bird of paradise tattoo redone with brighter colours. Its over 23 years old and has faded a bit!
I had my artists palette tattoo done here last time and Ade said he would redo it for me next time I was back!
Right off to bed for me now, completly tired out after all the travelling!
