I had to cancel last Saturdays workshop because of the snow...we couldn't get out of our road to get to the venue and I had students coming from Birmingham, Shrewsbury, Telford ,Leominster and Cleobury Mortimer-and they had no chance of getting here safely.
So for every ones sake it was the best option to cancel...everyone except 2 have booked in for another workshop...so that's been sorted.
I'm keeping everything crossed that we will be able to run the new Sunflower workshop this Saturday--but I wont hold my breath--the forecast is for more snow Friday...watch this space.....
This is the (Almost) daily diary of a successful, established artist,it follows all the exciting times and the not so exciting times, the ups when the paintings go well and the downs when they don't ( Very Rare!!) Details of up and coming exciting times are all here, as well as the normal day to day living. Join me on this journey to the unknown!

The Snowman Commission!
he asked for some hills and a path.....
here is the base of that stage..
Ive added some snow to that...
then there was to be a rustic 5 bar gate....
and a Cotswold stone wall either side of it--here Ive just laid on lots of thick paint in grey, blue and white..
its coming together quite well now....
Ive used a silicon wiping out tool to pick out the stones in the walls...
added a few trees....I'm quite pleased with how the walls are looking so far--they are by no means nearly finished--but the texture is right
he wanted a distant village in between the hills, Ive altered this since this photo was taken and there is now a little church there!
