| There is a lot of preparation for some of the workshops-some more than others.. Stormy Poppies is painted on a 12in x 24in chunky canvas using oils. As we cant paint the sides of the canvas during the class because of the difficulty getting the wet painting home we prepare the canvas by painting the edges with black acrylic paint and then varnishing them.It means that the painting looks more ''finished'' and is ready to hang when you get it home! As we are going away to Wales for 6 nights on Saturday the canvas have been done today so we don't have to start doing it when we get back off holiday! You can see them drying off in the garage in the photo above! |
