Little Tommy--3 months

Me and my sister Sharon went babysitting for our little Tommy on Saturday night---he was as good as gold bless him..sat in his bouncy chair laughing away for ages! He is such a contented baby-always happy and smiling.

He is always ready for his bottle as well----here he is after finishing it off---he is full as a tick!   After having his bum changed he was off to bed upstairs by 9pm--and he slept through to 8.30am again...he has got into a great routine lately and is sleeping all night for his mummy and daddy--that's really good for 12 weeks!      He is growing up so quickly--he has noticed the TV now and will stretch his head round to see it!        He is also fascinated by their clock on the wall--he sits and laughs at it--if hes crying Becki just lifts him so he can see the clock and he stops instantly and starts laughing at it---I wonder what he thinks it is?

Rumour Has It----

That we love birds in the Jennings household!

Sparky the cat has obviously noticed and last night he bought in this little baby bird.

I think he found him on the ground, and didn't fetch him out of a nest,he was absolutely freezing and very weak, so I warmed him up in my hands before putting in a nest of kitchen towel, not expecting to see him alive this morning!

However this morning he was chirping for some food. We mashed up some mealy worms and bread with some water and we have fed him with tweezers every 20 mins from dawn til dusk , as he would be in the wild.

He takes the food very well and is quite strong.He has got most of his feathers and cant be far off being able to fend for himself. You can see how tiny he is compared to Bills hands!!

We think he may be a chaffinch but we are not entirely sure,his chest is a bit redder than appears in the photos, and we have had a pair of bull finches feeding here everyday, so maybe he is one of those?

Easter Babysitting

We had our little grandaughter Hollie to stay on Sunday night.She just loves it in the kitchen sink as you can see! Its much easier to bath her in there than to empty the bath of the oil paintings that are drying in there! Good job we have 2 bathrooms though!
Once she settled at 10:30 pm we didnt hear her til 8am.But we both slept lightly,listening out for her!

Callum

We couldnt even get a smile out of our little Callum on Christmas day-he had been up all night teething and he looks tired to death on this picture!!

Hollie

You can see why I havent been on the computer much lately!!! Little Hollie is down from Sunderland with her Daddy.

She is growing up so quickly- and shes such a happy little thing-as you can see from this taken last night!

She had her last feed at 6.30pm and she slept til 7.30am this morning.

Shes just discovered she can squeal--very loudly and has been doing it since she arrived!!!

Holly

We have Bills son Darren, girlfriend Lyndsey and baby Holly down for the night tonight. She is growing up so fast, Bill couldn't wait to try her out in the baby walker we bought for her a few weeks ago--as you can see she loved it!

Then it was time for bed, and as Ive been full of cold for the past week, Bill gave her the last bottle of the day and she s now fast asleep in her cot!

Babysitting

Look at this little cutie!!! Little Holly was as good as gold for us on Saturday night

Shes such a happy little thing. We decided to sleep in our caravan on the drive as we had Darren, Lydnsey and her sister staying, rather than have anyone sleep on the sofa.

Bill had made repaired the bed which broke when we were at Onslow Park when we playing scabble!.

It was a good job the cooler box was the right height to prop up the bed when we were there or we would have been stuck!

Lilian---star pupil!

This is lilian painting her waterfall painting.

She wont mind me telling you that she is 83 years old.

We met lilian last year when we at St Audries.She said then''I feel like Ive known you for years,'' ----the feeling was very mutual!!!

Lilian painted her first painting last year and she painted 2 more this year.

The waterfall painting was much admired by everyone who viewed them--- all the paintings were put on display next to the dining room, and she actualy had someone want to buy her painting, but she didnt want to sell it!!!

Her grandaughter claimed her black and white birch tree painting last year, saying it was beautiful. Lilians son Graham who is the bar manager at St Audries wanted her to paint the poppy field painting which she promptly did and gave to him!

When she returned to Neath her grandaugher said to her that she had found her vocation in life, must say I agree.Lilian is a natural and although I said she was quite capable of painting at home she said she would wait til next year cos she enjoyed the classes so much!

I have a feeling that we will be seeing more of Lilian well before next year!!!

Her son Graham is the bar manager at SA and he had requested that she paint the poppy field painting. She did so and no one could tell hers from mine

Exhibition

In December I am holding my 2nd solo exhibition at Leominster Library this year,

along side it will be my students work produced in the classes-everyone is looking forward to it and it will be interesting for people to see the difference in everyones work-even when produced in the same class!!

Meet Holly

Isnt she adorable!!!!! Our little grandaughter is down for the weekend with her mum and dad.

She has grown so much since she was born under 2 weeks ago.

Spoiling The Little One!

I went shopping this morning and couldnt resist this beautiful little dress-its soooo pretty- it cost more than I would usualy spend on something that will only fit her for a few weeks, but hey if you cant spoil them when they are little when can you?

Todays Class

Here is todays student Penny.What a great painting Penny!!!

This is her third visit to me and we have become firm friends!

She bought me a beautiful gift of some silver earrings--she knows exactly my taste-they are what I would have chosen for myself!

She runs a lovely jewellery shop in the grounds of Ludlow Castle, called Astra Gems.

She sells the most beautiful things there, and always stops by for a chat when we are on the market, as its on her way to her shop.

We have a lot in common and are so on the same wave-length its unreal! We are going to have a girlie painting night at her place with some more friends some time in the future, I cant wait!!!

Her hubby is very much like my Bill--kind, caring and very helpful-as well, they will get on as well as me and Penny do!

Meet Holly

Meet Holly,our 1st grandaughter born on Monday 16th July at 10:10pm in Sunderland.She is the daughter of Bills middle son Darren and his partner Lyndsey.

She weighed 7 lb 1 oz and she is absolutely beautiful.

We left the caravan at home on Monday and went up there when we heard she was in labour.They have moved into a new big house so we stayed with them.We will have to try and get away again soon in the van!

Meet Gertie!

This is our latest caravan Gertie. She is a little younger than Bessie, and came with a much bigger awning, thus giving us more storage space-essentual when we go off for the 2 and 3 day craft fairs.She has the all important wine glass cabinet with stained glass doors and is really immaculate inside and out.I just know that me and Bill will have a lot of fun in her!

It was great to be home and take a look at the fish in the pond-they have only had a quick feed lately, havent had time to enjoy them!

The picture at the top shows the 'Fairies Fishing Rods' that I have growing in pots around the pond-we will have a good show of them this year-the flowers are covered in buds-they look so pretty bobbing around in the breeze.

The 2nd pic shows some of the fish in our pond-the big white one is my favorite one-he actualy comes right out of the water when its feeding time-as you can see!

Rescued!

This little baby sparrow was bought in on Saturday night by Sparky Cat.We heard him coming across the roof mewing so we knew he had caught something! When told to 'DROP IT' he always does so and the sparrow was taken downstairs given a drink of water and put in a pryex bowl with some kitchen towel until morning.I took him outside and put him on top of the summer house roof and he flew off down the woods!

Bill and Callum

Our grandson Callum was bought round to see Bill on his birthday yesterday-as you can see little Callum was engrossed in watching the tropical fish.
He is such a happy little baby and so knowing-he laughed his head off at Paddy the parrot-who didnt find it very funny being put back in his cage for safety's sake.
We cant take any chances with Paddy-he is so jealous of everything that comes here--he attacks poor Sparky on a regular basis, you would not belive how scared of cats he was when we bought him 2 years ago!
