Winter Wonderland In Ludlow--Dec 7th 2010

first thing this morning-the sun was coming up behind the tree in our garden--what a picture!

this is the view from my bedroom window--stunning!

we went round the same route as yesterday-but the overnight freezing fog had made everything even more beautiful

we headed back to Dinham Bridge underneath Whitcliffe-the paths take you back onto the top where we had come from

this is one of my favorite photos of the bunch

Frosty Day-Dec 6th--some snaps

I hate spiders but you just have to admire thier work!

we went up over Whitcliffe and it was a winter wonderland up there

just a simple cow parsley-but with the frost on it a thing of pure beauty

We called by the market to see what folk had braved the cold--had a chat to Angus and Mick-who were froze solid bless em--but the Christmas tree looked beautiful covered in the frost!

Spotted this beautiful bush covered in berries when we headed home across the bypass--my patient hubby turned the car round and went back so I could get a photo of them!

The starlings have been here in force-they love the bird cake I make out of scraps and fat-

Its forecast -10 here tonight-still freezing fog so more beautiful scenery to photograph tomorrow--but will have to see if we will be on the market on Wednesday--if its still foggy we wont be there as the damp will get in the paintings--so watch this space.........

3 Places Left in March 5th Workshop

I have only got 3 places left in March 5th workshop "Reeds In The Breeze" after Angela booked 6 places yesterday!

Cancelled--BIRCHES WORKSHOP

Ive had to cancel today's workshop due to the weather---its snowed heavy over night and as most people have to travel a long way and the roads are bad it was the only option.
I have arranged to do this one again on 18th Dec and the 8th Jan for those who cant make the 18th..
Its only the 2nd time in 7 years that this has happened-but its unavoidable--I don't want people getting stuck in snow--

Ive just had a call from the venue to say they are closing now as the roads are awful around the centre so just as well I had rang everyone first!

Birch Tree Workshop

Well we are 4 down on tomorrows workshop due to the awful weather conditions---its snowing still at the moment so may get some more phone calls tomorrow as  well--fingers crossed the 10 that are local-ish can get here--if not I will make another date to do this class-maybe  Sat Dec 18th as I know a few people wanted to do this painting as a Christmas present for loved ones!
Time will tell!
