Great Holiday in Barmouth

We got back from a lovely short holiday last night.
We went to Barmouth and stayed at the Abour Hotel on the seafront.
We had a fantastic room with a big bay window overlooking the sea and beach.
A cosy sofa was placed in the bay and it was just perfect to sit and watch the goings on !
The weather was beautiful all the time we were away, we had just a few showers on the way back over the mountains.
On Tuesday night there was the most beautiful sunset as we walked along the promenade, we have taken loads of photos, I will be turning this into a class subject shortly.
The service and food at The Abour was excellent-a three course meal every night and a full english breakfast each morning means I'm too scared to jump on the scales yet!
Jake has learned to say a few new things while we were away--bye bye Becki , sorry , and hello chicken--he is also clucking like an old hen-its hiarious to hear him!

Getting ready !

We are on the Book and Craft market this Sunday, on Castle Square, Ludlow. The weather forcast is not to bad so fingers crossed.

I will have to get organised before then as we go on holiday on Monday!
Im really looking forward to it-the hotel has its own indoor pool so maybe we will get some swimming in to.
We have got a seaview from our room which will be great-Im sure I wil get loads of inspiration while there.

Im busy printing out notes for my daughter and her partner Wayne who are pet sitting--there is so much to remember with so much live stock to look after. The 2 parrots, one cat, a tank full of tropical fish and a large pond too.

Im printing off all the likes and dislikes of them all and laminating them-it will be handy for when we go away again in August and my friend comes to look after them all.
Jean cant wait to stay and look after the pets.I show her the most recent videos of Jake talking on my phone every week when I see her and she laughs her head off, Im sure she will be teaching him some new words.
It will be interesting to see what new things Jake learns when we are away next week, last time they had him he was talking just like Becki when we returned!
Oh well back to the list making!

Grimsby!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We went off to Grimsby yesterday to fetch our new 4 berth caravan. It was a long journey but worth it. We decided that the other caravan was just a bit too small for us-
The new one has a double bed at one end and a seperate dining area at the other, so it means we can leave the bed down all the time we are away!!
Cant wait to get some nice weather and get away in her!

Good Idea Bill !!!

I always clean the brushes out in the garage sink after a class/one 2 one etc.
It has been getting a little cluttered up out there lately cos Im not the most tidiest of people, and the brushes have been hanging around on the draining board til they have dryed out completely.
Bill has said for a while that we need something to put the brushes into straight away after they have been cleaned, then they can dry out thougherly, then they are ready to put into the individual boxes for the classes.
Simple but effective, he knocked up this storage unit for the brushes this afternoon while I was doing the one 2 one with Penny!
I can put the brushes straight into there as soon as they have been cleaned in the odourless turps and cleaned in the brush cleaning soap and dryed , and they are ready to put into the boxes for the classes. So much easier -thanks Bill xxx
I have just replaced all the scriptliner brushes that we use in the classes with new ones and the old ones I will keep for when we do acrylic classes. The new brushes are also available for sale for just £3.50p including P+P
I also have a new stock of painting knives that will be on sale for just £4.50p including P+P-they sell out as fast as I get them in-once people see just what can be done with them , they all want one!!!

House Sitter

My friend is coming to look after the pets this morning--lucky she has a easy going hubby who dosent mind her coming for a few days at short notice!
The animals are in for an unexpected treat--they get spoiled rotten when she comes to stay!
She will also be checking my emails for me and letting me know if there is anything that cant wait til we get back.
What did we do before mobiles?
