Your Age

A bit of trivia sent to me by one of my regular readers Tom-

YOUR AGE BY EATING OUT
Don't tell me your age;
your waiter may know!
YOUR AGE BY DINER & RESTAURANT MATHS
DON'T CHEAT BY SCROLLING DOWN FIRST!
It takes less than a minute. Work this out as you read .
Be sure you don't read the bottom until you've worked it out!
This is not one of those waste of time things, it's fun.
1. First of all, pick the number of times a week that you would like to
go out to eat.
(more than once but less than 10)
2. Multiply this number by 2 (just to be bold)
3. Add 5
4. Multiply it by 50
5. If you have already had your birthday this year add 1758...
If you haven't, add 1757.
6. Now subtract the four digit year that you were born.
You should have a three digit number
The first digit of this was your original number. (I.e., How many times
you want to go out to restaurants in a week.)
The next two numbers are
YOUR AGE ! ------ (Oh YES, it is!)
THIS IS THE ONLY YEAR (2008) IT WILL EVER WORK, SO SPREAD IT AROUND WHILE IT LASTS

Saturday 26th April--change of Class

Next Saturday was supposed to be an encaustic day-unfortunately Bev and Maureen who had booked to do that class cant make it after all. I will re-schedule the class for another date

So I have decided to hold another oil painting class instead.
Forest Pool is also a class subject for July but I have 2 people interested in doing it next Saturday.
If you would like to join them please get in touch via http://www.paintingmyway.co.uk

This painting is suitable for total first time painters as well as more experienced ones.
It is painted onto a black background which makes life much easier!
Its a very atmospheric picture, the light just glows through the background trees and onto the surface of the pond.

Craft Fair Thursday 3rd April

Well after getting back from the WI demo at 10:30pm last night we didnt feel like loading the car ready for the craft market when we got home, so we got up early and loaded the car then.
We got down the craft market at 8am, and were all set up for 9:20am.The weather was beautiful for once-no wind blowing everything around, just lots of lovely sunshine!
I was able to get on and do some finishing off to several paintings that had been started at home, but not finished, as well as painting some new small oils.
Lots of new faces up there, we all made friends and we gave out some advice about what the craft market was about!
I am looking forward to meeting up with them at the next craft fair.

A lovely Day

After breakfast we went to the first boot sale of the season at leominster, picked up some more bargains, including some crayons for use on fabric-will have some fun personalising the aprons used in class with them!
Then back to clean out the stick insects-boy have they grown.I gave Paddy the parrot a good shower with the spray botle while I had it out spraying the sticks, then after calling round at mums to drop off her mothers day pressies, back to cook a beautiful roast beef dinner.
The roses I had for valentines day were about finished so I gently pulled all the petals off and put into some pretty glass dishes. They will continue to dry out in the sunny kitchen windowsill. Then when complety dry I will put some rose scented pot pourri oil on them.A real lasting memento of a great day!

Im now doing all the updating of my sites and catching up on emails!
Also got to send off the applications for some craft fairs coming up this summer. We seem to need more space every year with doing both encaustic demos and oil and acrylic demos too!!!!
