Squirrels Eye View Workshop Results

What a great day we had in Saturdays workshop ''Squirrels Eye View''  7 first time students..you would never know from the beautiful results though! David-above came along with wife Jackie and daughters Rosie and Nadia..right from the start David had decided he was going to do a winter version--as there were 4 paintings potentially the same--to be honest I was not sure how that would work---but oh boy--it worked very well!
Sarah really enjoyed this workshop-she is gaining her confidence every time she comes...lovely delicate finished result..

Ros added some pink to her painting and again it worked so well--reminded me of a cottage garden..

Davids wife Jackie was pretty much convinced she would not be much good at this painting business LOL...however she soon found out she was wrong! That is the one thing I love--watching people who arrive with no self confidence in themselves as regards being able to paint a lovely painting--they gain confidence so quickly--and start making decisions about what goes into their paintings so quickly on their own..

David's and Jackie's 2 daughters came along with them, above is Rosie..

and above is Nadia..

Kath was also a first time student..I thinks she was surprised at how easy it was...

Helen has been quite a few times before..

First time for Annette too...

Pauline has been once before...

First time for Annette who came along with her Mum Annette and Pauline who bought them both along..all have booked again fro the Birches on Aug 22nd..

Market

It was a joy to be on the market today--so much different to the last twice when we had rain and wind! A beautiful sunny day--loads of folk around, all with money to spend it seems! The large purple ''Yesterday'' painting has gone to a new hone near Preston...and loads of miniatures went to new homes!

My new heart slates went well too---and it was comical listening to the people reading them and laughing....we are on the market again on Sunday but the weather is supposed to change by then...

Poppy Field Workshop

Kirsty checking where her daisies and cornflowers are to go...she bought along her mum Andrea - both really enjoyed the workshop and found the step by step instruction easy to follow!

Andrea adding some detail...
Liz painted some lovely bold poppies...

Chris's painting started off quite delicate, but she got her impact with her poppies!

Margaret adding the final details to her painting!

fantastic results ladies!

Torquay Break

We went to Torquay for a lovely 4 night break to celebrate my birthday and our 14th Wedding anniversary last week---the weather was wonderful, the company even better and the guest house we stayed The Richwood was great as well.. We pass over the Severn Bridge on route to quite a few of our hols and I just love the structure-and maybe I will get round to painting it one day!

Our bedroom was lovely and comfortable at The Richwood...

beautiful scenery everywhere in this part of the world...

We had lots of trips out and about during our stay,,

another picture waiting to be painted...

Dartmouth is a lovely place--very picturesque

Brixham is another lovely place that we have been to a few times now...

We had a good breakfast each morning at the hotel...the scrambled egg was to die for..

the dining room at The Richwood

We returned to Dawlish to have a mooch around, we were here a few years ago and enjoyed it there very much

Saw some of the local black swans..

On the way back to the hotel we called at The Snoop pub and had a wonderful meal--the diet went out of the window for once-- smothered steak, mushrooms, peppers, onions rings and some chips! Was worth every single calorie--though I didn't manage to finish the chips!

we had a lovely seating area in our room looking out over the swimming pool...would return here again!

Serenity Workshop march 21st

Had a lovely time teaching Serenity on March 21st  which was also my birthday!  Caron had to leave early to catch her train--she used the dusky lilac shades which proved to a popular choice..everyone was amazed at how different the paintings turned out as usual..

Sue and Angela painted with me for the 1st time..beautiful results ladies!

Ro and Sarah used the blue shades,,,lovely cold feeling to the end paintings..

Well done everyone--will look forward to seeing you all again!
