Christmas Paintings

I have been busy over the past few days catching up on the 'christmas paintings'
I always paint the kids a new picture for Christmas, and so far have got 4 done! Got one more to do for my Becki and then 4 more for some special friends. Got to try and finish today,as Ive got lots of other stuff to catch up on.
The first set of Poppy Quartet have had their first coat of varnish, they will have another coat today and another tomorrow.
The kitchen looks like a bomb has gone off at the moment-paintings and paint everywhere!

Birthday Cake!!

Bill has been busy in the kitchen all day making a chocolate birthday cake for my nephew's 12th birthday.Of course we had to try it, just to make sure it was ok---Bill trimmed off the top so that it would ice better and of course we cleaned out the bowl after he made the filling and topping- oh boy ---its beautiful and we delivered it to his home earlier this evening.

I hope they dont eat it all, we will be round for a slice tomorrow!!!!!

Sparky AGAIN!!!

I swear this cat knows when I sell a painting-without fail he goes out and comes back injured in some way! we should have our own personal parking space at the vets!
The day before yesterday he came in with 2 mice , within an hour of each other,and let them go so Bill could have go a catching them--Sparky thinks that Bill enjoys mousing as much as he does!! Then he walks in around the living room door holding up one leg.Couldnt find any obvious injury on him, no cuts, or swellings, so kept him in and took him to vets yesterday. Another jab for him, keep him quiet(easier said than done) and fingers crossed he will be ok!
He looks so sweet in this pic-you would never belive what a monster he is sometimes!

WELL DONE TRINE !!!!!!

Im so proud of my friend Trine's success in the art world.
Trine came over to stay with us for a week last year from her home in Norway and we had a great time.
She has just had a great article about her in Teen Trend magazine, she has worked very hard to get to where she is and we wish her loads more sales and success.

The C Word !

I know the suns been shining for a little while now, but Bills thoughts have already turned to CHRISTMAS!!!!
The local Julian Graves shop has had a half price sale for 2 days and Bill has been and got his fruit for his christmas cakes.
It was a bargain I suppose, and its good to get oranic fruit too-but will anyone tell the difference after all the brandy and sherry has gone into the cakes!!!!
