BOOB-TIFUL-on EBAY

Well the Boob-tiful Painting made £275 on Ebay on Saturday night. A fantastic result.
It will be going to live in Sheffield, in the home of Samantha who was the highest bidder.
I have discovered that Ebays messaging system just doesn't work at all-Samantha sent a message as soon as she had won and I never received the message -nor she mine. She finally managed to reach me tonight via Facebook.
Boob-tiful has its own group on facebook-kindly set up by one of the 'artists' Sandi and thats how she found out about the painting.
We have had a lovely chat together tonight via FB private chat thing!
There is a lot in the pipeline for the near future as well!
I have been asked on the artists forum if the idea can be copied by another couple of artists who though it was a brilliant idea- but after consulting with some of the ladies who are still taking part in the project selling cards/prints etc the overwhelming answer was a big NO--and this is the answer I gave to Lindi and Sue

After serious consideration and discussion with one or two of the ladies concerned, I dont feel it's a good idea to allow others to copy the idea or painting. There is an on-going fundraising campaign, selling cards, prints etc and if there were several similar paintings, then it would detract from the "uniqueness" of the project and reduce the saleabillity of the cards/prints etc.....100% of the proceeds of which, are going to the charity.

We made the front page of the Stratford Herald last Tuesday with the story and I had a call from a reporter asking about a follow up story today-like wise the local paper the Shropshire Star..
Now I have all the info from Samantha I can give them the go ahead to print it!

Tomorrows Class

We have had a cancellation for tomorrows class--I'm sure you will all remember Hazel who at the grand age of 83 came along and painted a few weeks ago for the first time-she made a beautiful job of Serenity, and was supposed to come again tomorrow. She phoned this morning to say she has been called into the hospital tomorrow to see the eye surgeon about having her cataracts taken off.
Blimey if she can paint like that and she cant see well--what will she be producing when she can?
Anyway , I hope it all goes well, sounds like she wont be kept long waiting for the operation.
Anyway we still have 7 in-all have been before except for Tonys daughter Susie who is with us for the first time.
Cant wait!

We are Back!

Just a quickie for now-we had a cracking weekend sold 8 paintings between ny website, Ludlow Art Society exhibition and Onslow Park so a very happy bunny indeed!
Im busy promoting the Boob-tiful painting in all sorts of ways-the cards of it are done (thanks Lin)-will put more details here later-got lots of phone calls to make!

BOOB-TIFUL-on EBAY

I have spent most of the day getting in touch with newspapers and other sources to get the most publicity for the paintng created last weekend for Breakthrough Breast Cancer Research.
My friend Lin is printing some cards to sell , and I have approached 2 local printers who will be doing some copies of the painting.
I am very grateful for all the help in promoting this project-if you go on any forum etc please tell them about this-breast cancer affects a lot of people-most people will know someone who is affected by this awful illness.
