Ive had a bit of a virus for a few days now- slight sore throat but not much else--did a demo for the WI at Burwurton last night and it was a bit hoarse after I finished but didn't seem too bad today on the market.
Just gone to call Bill from upstairs to tell him something and found my voice had disappeared! Had to bang on the wall and whisper down to him!
Just hope it comes back for Saturday-got 7 coming to paint Forest Pool!
This is the (Almost) daily diary of a successful, established artist,it follows all the exciting times and the not so exciting times, the ups when the paintings go well and the downs when they don't ( Very Rare!!) Details of up and coming exciting times are all here, as well as the normal day to day living. Join me on this journey to the unknown!

Mystical Moon
While I was on the craft market Sunday I decided to quickly do a couple of alternative colours for the Mystical Moon class subject being held on June 13th. It works really well in the grey and purple colours as well as the blue I originaly did it in.
I like to give people the choice of colour whenever possible,it means that the students can match up their paintings for the room they will hang them in when they get them home!

Wednesday Market
We have decided to give the Wednesday Market a try for a few weeks-its not a craft one-just the usual one. They have been stuggling to fill all of the stalls recently so we will give it a go and see how busy it is!
Looking forward to seeing everyone on a weekly basis!
The photo was taken on Sunday-it looks like Carole off the stall next to us and Bill are falling out the way they have the rubber mallets to hand-in reality Bill is helping her put the stall back as it was!
Sundays Craft Market
We had a really busy day on Easter Sunday-it was the beautiful warm sunshine that bought everyone out I think! The town was heaving with people all day.
We didnt get packed up until turned 5pm as it was so busy.
It was lovely to meet a couple of my friends off one of the forums I belong to--and we will be meeting up with them again shortly--all being well!

Jacks Painting!
Must say a big thanks to Jack for the lovely big Easter egg he bought for me-will share it with Bill though!
Todays Class
Had a lovely time again as usual-had 3 newbies in class-Tara who is Roses daughter and Margret and Jen.
All three were very nervous and convinced they wouldn't be able to paint a picture.
Rose , Hilda and Sara had all been once before while Jack was an old hand at it, having been too many times to remember!
Rose and Hilda decided to use different coloured paint to the usual grey-Hilda wanted Brown to match her other painting and Rose fancied Prussian Blue.
All of the colours worked well!
We had a great laugh all through the class, nerves were soon forgotten, and some beautiful paintings produced.
Everyone wants to come again-Ive got to sort out some dates for the Poppy painting on the black canvas as Jack wants to join that class.
Ive got some experimenting to do first though-may try it in all acrylic rather than oil!

Grandchildren,Classes and Craft Fairs!
They say no peace for the wicked and its seems that's right!!!
We have the two little granddaughters staying with us for 2 nights with their dad Darren, they are both tucked up fast asleep now-Hollie fell asleep on the chair snugged up to Pooh bear, Bill carried her up and put her into her travel cot and she didn't wake-Lucie had her last bottle and fell asleep in her rocking chair so she is now in her carry cot.
Ive got a full class tomorrow -doing the Stormy Skies painting and we are on the craft market on Sunday.
Monday is going to be a day off-sort of-we are going to have a mooch around the boot sale at Tenbury, then home to cook a leg of lamb and all the trimmings for eldest stepson Carl and his girlfriend!
Must say I'm really looking forward to it all although it will be a busy one!

Mystical Moon
Ive had a great day today painting. After finishing the painting 'By The Light ll' I had the urge to do something like it only larger--I used the photographs Id taken previously of the full moonfrom our garden as reference.
I have created this one on a 50cm x 100cm box canvas.
Its painted in acrylic and Ive used a very special holographic paint for the moon-it doesn't show up in the photos at all.!
Its very subtle, but really adds to the effect-especially at night in artificial lighting.
I noticed while it was lay down drying that it actually looked as good when upside down-the moon appears to be rising up into the sky-so the choice on which way to hang it lies with you!
The painting is £220 which includes delivery in the UK by special delivery, its insured and trackable and with you by 1pm the next day.
It will have 3 coats of varnish on it to protect it.
If you would like to purchase this painting please get in touch via the website www.paintingmyway.co.uk

Lovely Day
We have had a busy day today with one thing and another , but a very enjoyable one too--first of all I had an appointment with the dentist-Ive not seen one for over 4 years since my old one went private! Havent had any problems with them at all but was a bit worried after such a time-yippeee-nothing to do to them-said I had brilliant teeth so very happy bunny!
And we got talking about art, and he ended up with one of my leaflets about the classes! Looks like I might be seeing him before the 6 months is up!
I had got my camera with me as usual -always carry it with me when we go any where-got some beautiful photos from Clee Hill-some lovely clouds around today!
Had a lovely meal out, so no cooking when we got home this evening which is always good!
Glass of wine in the garden and got some nice pics of Sparky cat enjoying the last of the sunshine and also got a pic of the blackbirds nest and eggs!
Must be young birds-they have built the nest on the ledge of the summer house-open to attack from the cat and jackdaws etc. Bill has put some big pieces of wood around the area to try and prevent anything happening to the eggs and chicks-fingers crossed now.
Got some catching up to do on the website and them Im having an early night!
Story Skies

Ive had an email from Sue who was at the Wellesbourne Art Society demonstration I did recently-she has told me that 3 of them would like to do the Stormy Skies painting-this class if full for this Saturday, but I will be sorting out a date for it shortly and letting them know when it will be.
If you would like to join this class in the future please get in touch via the website

BY THE LIGHT
I painted a new painting on Monday of a blue sky with the silhouette of a tree, I was quite pleased with it but something wasn't quite right with it-something was missing!
After a day out today shopping in Kidderminster for new brushes and other art materials, we got back quite late this evening, it was such a beautiful warm evening we did a few jobs around the garden, including changing the net over the pond, as we were doing that Bill said "look at that moon" and I quickly grabbed the camera and got some shots of it through the trees.I soon realised that the moon would be the ideal addition to the painting!
I couldn't wait, had to grab the paint and finish it off--Carl my stepson came through as I was finishing and just said "Stunning!
That's enough for me!Its going on my website!
Bill will varnish it tomorrow along with the other 3 paintings that are ready for varnishing/2nd/3rd coat.
Its also going to be a new painting subject for my classes--
Ive logged it with www.protectmywork.com
Will put the date for this class on here as soon as I ve sorted one out!

Campsite Classes
There has been some discussion on one of the many forums I use about combining camping/caravaning and painting classes.
It would seem a lot of people are interested in having a go. I'm going to try and sort out a site and a date so we can combine the 2 pleasures in life!
I'm looking at sites nearby to us for now but am getting feedback from fellow campers as well.
With the weather being as unpredictable as it is we will have to find a site with a room we can use if the weather turns nasty or choose a site near to Ludlow and use my regular venue-then if the weather is good on the day we can do the class in the open at the site.
I will keep the you updated with whats happening here and on my website.
